I became a Research Administrator in February 2017. I had been a grants administrator for 10 years prior to trying something new. I worked in government and non-profit community positions and decided I wanted to work to support children’s health and equity. My youngest daughter was born 3 1/2 months early and had to live in the pediatric hospital that I currently work for. They treated me like family and took great care of my baby to ensure she was healthy and ready to come home. From that point, I knew that I would one day contribute to the amazing work the hospital was doing. Since being part of the Research community, I have learned so much and have seen so many victories in pediatric research. The testimonies from the parents and children keep me going each day!
