have always assisted with grant submissions and awards in my previous jobs. Unfortunately, I was laid off due to a reduction in force. Six months later, I applied for the Research Administrator I position in the Office of Research-Sponsored Programs.
I was hired, and I was excited to learn the back side of proposals. Since I started, I have learned so much and love what I do. I enjoy working with the faculty and staff and assisting them as much as I can to ensure they have a successful submission. The best part is when PI is awarded and they send an email to recognize you for assisting them.
I am so grateful that NCURA has webinars to attend and learn from; these have helped out so much.
