Contracts and Grants Specialist
Became an RA: The 2010'sI started working with contracts and grants on the post award side in 2011, when I internally promoted. As years progressed, I became more interested in working with contracts and grants. I obtained my Masters in Public Administration, and a year later I moved into an official position working post award research administration. Then, due to department reconstruction, I was moved to pre award on the college level. At this time, I am training on pre award activities.

Became an RA: 2020 - RecentI started off as my department’s admin. I was then trained by our Financial Associate and moved into our department’s Accountant position. From there it was my responsibility to monitor the 100+ grants in our department and assist faculty in properly spending and managing them. I have been here ever since!

Became an RA: 2020 - RecentI graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in December 2022 from Auburn University after growing up in Auburn. As a 21 year old with no idea what she wanted to do with her life, I started applying to jobs, mostly at Auburn University. As it just so happened, the Associate Director of the Office of Sponsored Programs was a family friend (although I don’t think I had ever spoken to him directly before), and had seen my mom randomly and mentioned that OSP had some job openings. Long story short, I applied because why not, started in February 2023, and here I am almost 8 months later!
