Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies

I started as a federal program officer for the Protected Resources Division of the National Marine Fisheries Service (part of NOAA) in Gloucester, MA. Life changes moved me to NY where I eventually applied for and was offered the grants specialist position at my current organization in 2015. I was an office of one at the time as the Grants Manager position was vacant. My supervisor provided incentive for me to take the CRA exam, which if I passed, I would receive a promotion. I accomplished that in late 2017 and was promoted to Grants Manager. I was then able to backfill my position so we are now an office of two. 🙂
