I started managing post award funding at the department level. It was 15 years before I put together that I was in the field of research administration even though I wasn’t in a central office.

Spent most of my career in the private sector in finance/client management/strategic management. I joined Cornell University in 2015 and held a number of roles before getting into research administration. I have currently only been in research administration for about 5 years now. What a journey it’s been!
