Kettering University

It all started in 2018 when I went back to school to get my Master’s in English. I knew I wanted to do something that made a difference, but it wasn’t until one of my friends told me about grant writing, that my options really opened up. I dedicated the rest of my studies to learning everything I could. I even took a separate online course to learn the basics. After my degree, I got involved with AmeriCorps to get my foot in the community’s door. My boss was a former employee of the university I now work at! I love what I do at Kettering; using my organizational and cat-herding skills to make a grant submission possible. I’m so glad I found this field!
