South Dakota School of Mines & Technology

I had worked for the South Dakota regental system for 10+ years and I was looking for a change. My husband had moved to the West side of the state, and I was planning on joining him. I had applied for three jobs around Rapid City and had interviews for all three.

I was offered the position of Grants Specialist I with SDSMT’s Sponsored Programs office. I am responsible for all pre-award duties for the campus. It has been about 20 months and I really enjoy my job. I miss the students but enjoy the satisfaction of seeing proposals submitted and getting awarded!!
