I started my career as an admin assistant at the Medical College of Wisconsin in a Biotech Center. After 6 months, I was offered the position of financial assistant to manage post award for over 50 projects and was hesitant to take that path, because “I wanted to be a Dept Administrator”. Of course, I was wrong in my hesitation. Fast forward, 15 years later, I’ve served in almost every role, pre-award and post-award, until reaching, Director of Pre-Award and Proposal Development Services where I’m tasked with establishing a central pre-award office for a top 25 ranked Medical School!
