I had just graduated from Auburn University with a Masters of Accountancy in the spring and passed the CPA exam. I was on track to start working at a Public Accounting firm that fall. During the summer, I realized that public accounting was not where I wanted be and was interested in the possibly of working in higher education. I saw a job opening in Contracts and Grants Accounting (Post-Award) at Auburn University, so I applied and was offered the job. That is how I entered the world of Sponsored Programs! I Since I have worked in post-award at Samford University, and now I am a pre-award administrator at West Virginia University!
