I started in the grants world five years ago, moving from a community business development position to a grant coordinator job that existed somewhere between grant administration and programming. This month, I moved to my new role as a research administrator, working in post award. Though I worked with many members of the research office in my previous role, it has really been an eye-opening experience to begin to learn the ‘behind-the-scenes’ processes and procedures, and it makes me realize how much of making a grant run smoothly I previously took for granted. I look forward to growing in my role and to contributing to the research infrastructure at my organization!
