Became an RA: 2020 - Recent

After graduating from law school, I was a “trailing spouse” because my husband was in grad school, and after a post doc, became a professor. As we moved, I found “good” jobs, but because of our need to move every few years, had trouble identifying a career path for myself. Based on my experience writing and negotiating contracts (for a state legislature and in industry), I was recently able to transition into research administration. I have been thrilled with the move, am truly enjoying the work, and can see myself in research administration long-term. There is a lot to learn, which is great! And I think my diverse work history has provided valuable experience for this new journey.
