I was looking for an entry level job in the accounting field at the time and had been talking to some temping agencies in Boston. To take a break from the job search, I went on a camping trip with a group of friends, where I met someone who was a Financial Assistant at MIT. There was an opening on his team for the same position, and it sounded like exactly what I was looking for! I ended up getting the position and have now been working in the field for almost 6 years in a variety of research administration roles. So glad I went on that camping trip!
