I went to law school to become a real estate attorney but I graduated in the recession in 2007. I couldn’t find a job doing anything other than foreclosures. I had a friend that worked at the foundation for a local hospital and they were looking for a grant coordinator. I thought that sounded like an interesting job to take while I waited on the economy to improve. What I did not expect was to fall in love with grants and sponsored programs. That begam an career in grants that then led me to higher education and research administration, where I am today. I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
