I originally started in with the Institutional Review Board at UMKC back in the 1990’s. I was with UMKC for over 20 years eventually becoming the Senior Compliance Officer. I skipped over the IRB at KCUMB for about a year and a half, but it didn’t feel like home and I returned to UMKC. I also was a startup specialist at Quintiles for a year. I then decided to get married and move to the Columbia area. Three years ago I got offered a job with the SOM Grants and Contracts Office at The University of Missouri. I feel like I came “full circle” and it has helped me understand all of this even better than before. Alot has changed over the years, but I’m so thankful that I have such a wonderful career in research.
