Optional, on the afternoon of the 27th

A hands-on AI workshop after the conference closes

The workshop runs from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm on October 27, after the go-bag lunch. It is a working session, not a talk: bring a laptop and the tasks you would like to hand to an AI. Last year's version assumed no prior experience and was the most requested session of the conference. It is optional and you choose it when you register.

Where to stay

A room block at the conference hotel, at a discounted rate

We hold a block of rooms at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront for Streamlyne UP! attendees, at a rate below the hotel's public one. Booking through the link is what gets you the rate. The block is limited, so book your room when you register rather than closer to the date.

Staying at the conference hotel means the sessions, the reception, and your room are all in one building.

San Diego

Late October on the bay

The first Streamlyne UP! was held in San Diego in 2017, and 2026 brings the conference back in person to the same city. Late October is warm, dry, and outside the tourist season, so flights and the days around the conference are easier than in summer.

If you are a Streamlyne institution, your account contact will hear about program changes before this page does. Everyone else can check back here.

Who it's for

Built around the work you actually do

Streamlyne UP! is a working conference for research administrators, research development staff, compliance officers, and the IT and leadership teams around them. Streamlyne runs the sessions; the roadmap roundtable and the community forum are where you get the floor. Here is where your role shows up on the program.

Since 2017

Streamlyne UP! over the years

The users conference has run since 2017, when the first one met in San Diego. It went fully virtual in 2024 and 2025 so that attending was not a travel budget question, and the 2025 program opened with a three-hour AI beginner workshop for research administrators that became the most requested session of the year. Between conferences, the shorter UP! Series sessions covered single topics such as quick proposals, reports and dashboards, and integrations. 2026 is the first in-person Streamlyne UP! since the virtual years.
