2025-2026 Women In Leadership Grant Program Application

About this program

Alberta Teachers’ Association’s Women in Leadership (WIL) Grant Program provides funding to support local projects and events that promote gender equity in the teaching profession, with a total pool of $20,000 and awards up to $2,000 per project. Eligible applicants are ATA members, ATA locals, or local WIL committees proposing innovative school-, local- or system-level initiatives (e.g., sharing circles, caregiver supports, policy development, mentorship, career planning). Applications must include a clear rationale linking the project to gender equity, a timeline, itemized budget, evaluation plan and disclosure of other funding; half of the grant is paid on approval and the remainder is released upon submission of paid receipts and a final report (final report due by August 31, 2026). Application deadline is May 31, 2026, and applicants are responsible for financial oversight and compliance with program guidelines.
