About this program
The Association for the Study of the Middle East and Africa (ASMEA) offers the 2026 Bernard Lewis Prize for published or unpublished articles, books, or book chapters examining antisemitism in Muslim societies and the Middle Eastern religious, cultural, and political dimensions of Christian antisemitism. The recipient will receive $2,500 and be recognized at ASMEA’s Nineteenth Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., November 7–9, 2026, where finalists will present their work. Applicants must be active ASMEA members and submit their work online with two letters of reference by August 31, 2026.
