2026 CTSI Translational Science Pilot Award

About this program

The Ohio State University Clinical and Translational Science Institute offers 2026 Translational Science Pilot Awards of $25,000–$35,000 in direct costs for 12-month studies addressing barriers in clinical and translational science, particularly chronic disease prevention and management. Projects should be innovative, interdisciplinary, and capable of generating preliminary data and generalizable solutions to support future extramural funding. Eligible applicants must hold PI status at Ohio State or Nationwide Children’s Hospital and may not have received a CTSI pilot or CTSR award within 24 months before the September 19, 2025, pre-application deadline. Proposed research must be feasible within one year, with a pre-application—including a one-page research plan and biosketches—required before invitation to submit a full application.
