About this program
The Foundation to Advance Vascular Cures will fund up to two early-stage, innovative pilot projects addressing the relationship between metabolic dysfunction and vascular disease, particularly peripheral artery disease and chronic limb-threatening ischemia. Awards of up to $75,000 may support projects lasting no more than 15 months, including research on metabolic therapies, biomarkers, patient engagement, education, implementation, and related data resources. All researchers are eligible, but proposals must involve collaboration among investigators from at least two disciplines, departments, or institutions and include at least two patient advisors. Applications are due August 31, 2026, with preference given to proposals led or co-led by attendees of the 2026 Vascular Health Innovation Summit when scores are comparable.
