2026 Research in Strategic Management (RSM) Program — Growth in Focus

About this program

The Strategy Research Foundation (SRF) of the Strategic Management Society (SMS) invites proposals for its 2026 Research in Strategic Management (RSM) Program on the theme “Growth in Focus: Strategy Across the Arc of Firm Evolution,” awarding multiple grants of up to US$25,000 each to support direct research expenses (data collection, research assistance) for original projects that advance strategic management scholarship on growth. The Principal Investigator must be a full‑time university faculty member or post‑doctoral researcher who is an SMS member at submission and throughout the grant period; a PI is the sole recipient, may serve on only one SRF proposal at a time, and must demonstrate the project is distinct from any prior SRF‑funded work. Proposals must clearly address the program theme and follow SRF submission requirements; applications are due October 1, 2026, and funded projects run January 1, 2027–December 31, 2028; SRF grants do not cover institutional overhead, PI/CI salary, conference travel/registration, software/equipment purchases, or reimbursement of prior expenses.
