2027-2028 ITHS New Translational Science Tools and Methodologies Award

About this program

The Institute of Translational Health Sciences (ITHS), supported through NIH/NCATS CTSA funding, offers New Translational Science Tools and Methodologies Awards of up to $50,000 in total costs for one year to develop generalizable computational, biochemical, biological, or engineering tools that advance translational science and preclinical development. Projects addressing drug, device, or biomarker discovery, AI integration, improved rigor and efficiency, or reduced animal testing are especially encouraged. Eligible applicants are faculty at ITHS partner institutions in the WWAMI region, the University of Washington, Fred Hutch, or Seattle Children’s; all principal and co-investigators must be ITHS members, and non-faculty applicants require departmental support and a faculty Contact PI. Letters of intent are due August 24, 2026, and invited full applications are due October 12, 2026.
