About this program
The Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA) is accepting nominations for the 2027 Leonard Heise Award, honoring a non-physician eye banker who demonstrates exceptional dedication to the EBAA’s mission and the advancement of eye banking. The award recognizes contributions to combating corneal blindness through local, national, and/or international service. Nominees must have at least 10 years of association with an EBAA-accredited eye bank and significant contributions at local and broader levels. Nominations must include a support letter from the nominee’s eye bank Board President, Executive Director, or Medical Director and be submitted by August 28, 2026.
