2027 NetVUE Summer Seminar: Teaching Vocational Exploration

About this program

The Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), through its Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education (NetVUE) and support from Lilly Endowment Inc., offers the 2027 Teaching Vocational Exploration Summer Seminar in Indianapolis, June 7–11, 2027. Selected participants receive coverage of most seminar costs, including lodging, meals, and materials, plus up to $900 in travel reimbursement, and will develop or redesign courses and materials focused on vocational exploration.

Each NetVUE member institution may competitively nominate one full-time faculty member from any discipline, typically at the assistant or associate professor level or equivalent; eligible long-term teaching staff may also be considered. Nominations require an institutional letter, a CV of no more than five pages, and a two-page statement describing relevant experience, anticipated impacts, and a tentative course or module development plan, due October 2, 2026.
