2027 USASP Call for Symposia

About this program

The United States Association for the Study of Pain (USASP) invites proposals for scientific symposia at its 2027 Annual Scientific Meeting, supporting sessions on clinical practice, basic and mechanistic science, translational research, and advances in pain science and care. Proposals should present a rigorous, timely, cohesive topic with complementary expertise and interactive elements within a 90-minute session. Each non-moderator speaker may participate in only one proposal, and speakers must represent different institutions; traditional symposia generally include three presenters, though alternative formats are permitted with justification. Submissions require a 400–500-word abstract and additional information on speakers, diversity and balance, timeliness, audience engagement, and session format, due October 12, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.
