About this program

The Association of Applied Paleontological Sciences (AAPS), with corporate sponsorship from The Bone Room, offers the annual $1,000 A. Allen Graffham Research Grant to support paleontological research and publication involving specimens collected by or in collaboration with AAPS members. Funds may be used for publication, technical, collecting, acquisition, or other research expenses, and recipients are selected by membership vote following Board approval. Applicants may be scientists, researchers, or students and need not be AAPS members, but must use, identify, and acknowledge the contributing AAPS member and AAPS in resulting work. Applications due November 1 must include a project letter and budget justification, recommendation letter, current CV or college transcript, and a recent photograph; international applicants must have a U.S.-wire-transfer-capable bank account.
