AΩA Professionalism Award

About this program

Alpha Omega Alpha (AΩA) offers a one-time $10,000 Professionalism Award recognizing programs that demonstrate best practices in medical professionalism education and practice. Eligible programs must involve students, residents, faculty, and other health care team members and provide evidence of effectiveness, sustainability, and potential for adoption by other institutions. Medical schools or affiliated institutions with proven professionalism outcomes may apply, with only one nomination permitted per school; prior award recipients must wait three years before reapplying, and participating AΩA members must be current on dues. Applications require a single PDF containing program details, outcome and sustainability data, leader bios, and a nomination letter from the medical school dean; the deadline is October 13, 2026.
