AABP Student Externship Grant Program

About this program

The AABP Foundation offers grants of up to $1,000 to veterinary students completing externships in private bovine clinical practice, helping offset travel and related expenses. Students may receive funding for up to two externships per application cycle, with payments split between approval and submission of a completion report. Applicants must be AABP student members enrolled at an AVMA Council on Education-accredited veterinary college, and the host practice must include at least one AABP-member veterinarian. Applications require a practice letter, an assessment from an AABP-member veterinary faculty member, and submission by October 1 or April 1, depending on the externship dates.
