About this program

The AACR, World Cancer Research Fund International, and Prevent Cancer Foundation offer a two-year, $130,000 fellowship for postdoctoral or clinical research fellows conducting mentored primary cancer prevention research. Funding supports salary and benefits, with up to 50% available for project-related research expenses, and the grant term begins December 1, 2026. Applicants must hold a relevant doctoral degree, be in an eligible mentored fellowship position, and have completed their latest doctorate or medical residency within the past five years, subject to limited exceptions. Applicants must also be AACR members in good standing by the September 22, 2026, deadline and cannot hold senior faculty appointments, another AACR grant, or employment with U.S. federal agencies or for-profit industry.
