About this program
The Association of American Geographers (AAG) offers the Anne U. White Fund to support collaborative field research conducted by an AAG member and their partner, regardless of the partner’s formal geography training or AAG membership. Typically, one or two awards of approximately $1,500 are provided annually, with applications due November 15, 2026, by midnight Eastern Time. Applicants must have maintained AAG membership for at least two years and comply with the AAG Professional Conduct Policy; the partner need not be an AAG member. Proposals are evaluated based on how well they advance the fund’s purpose of enabling meaningful field studies and shared research experiences.
