AAG Community College Travel Grants

About this program

The American Association of Geographers (AAG), with support from Darrel Hess and Robert and Bobbé Christopherson, offers travel grants for outstanding two-year college students to attend the AAG Annual Meeting. Each award includes meeting registration, one year of AAG membership, and a $500 travel subsidy. Applicants must be currently enrolled at a U.S. community, junior, city, or similar two-year college and submit background information, an unofficial transcript, and one instructor recommendation by November 15, 2026. Selection considers application quality, academic promise, geography coursework or major, financial need, and compliance with the AAG Professional Conduct Policy.
