About this program
The Association of American Geographers (AAG) offers the Diversity and Inclusion Award to honor geographers with sustained, pioneering contributions to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the discipline; the award is presented at the AAG Annual Meeting. Nominees may be individuals of any professional status and do not need to be AAG members. Nominations, due September 15, 2026, must include a CV, a specific statement of no more than 500 words describing the nominee’s accomplishments, and two to three recommendation letters; nominees must also comply with the AAG Professional Conduct Policy.
