AAG Media Achievement Award

About this program

The American Association of Geographers (AAG) offers the Media Achievement Award to recognize exceptional accomplishments in communicating geographical insights through television, film, video, social media, and other public media. One award may be recommended annually by the AAG Honors Committee, although it is not necessarily conferred every year. Nominations may be submitted by AAG members, groups, departments, or other interested parties and must include a nominating letter and the candidate’s CV; three to five supporting letters are encouraged. Candidates must comply with the AAG Professional Conduct Policy, and nominations are due by September 30, 2026, for the 2027 awards.
