AAI-Steinman Award for Human Immunology Research

About this program

The American Association of Immunologists (AAI) offers the AAI-Steinman Award for Human Immunology Research to recognize significant, sustained contributions to understanding immune processes involved in human disease pathogenesis, prevention, or therapy. The recipient receives a $5,000 cash award, complimentary registration, travel support to the AAI annual meeting, and the opportunity to deliver an award lecture. Nominees must be Regular AAI members in good standing with substantial achievements in immunology research relevant to human disease; self-nominations are not permitted. Nominations, due September 15, 2026, must be submitted by an eligible AAI member as one combined PDF containing a nomination letter, an additional recommendation letter, and the nominee’s NIH-format biosketch.
