AANA Emerging Leaders Academy

About this program

The American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA), with support from Vericel, offers the one-year Emerging Leaders Academy for two orthopaedic surgeons seeking future leadership roles within AANA. The program provides mentorship from AANA leaders, executive coaching, practice visits, networking, and development of a capstone project. Applicants must be AANA members in good standing with at least five years of clinical practice, prior AANA committee service, demonstrated leadership experience, and an interest in future AANA leadership. Applications open August 1, 2026, and are due October 1, 2026.
