AAUW Career Development Grants

About this program

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) offers Career Development Grants of up to $8,000 to support women pursuing accredited certificate or short-term training programs that enable entry into, transition within, or advancement in fields where women comprise less than 50% of the workforce or senior leadership. Funding may support tuition, fees, course materials, transportation, and dependent care, with programs beginning January 1–June 30, 2027. Applicants must identify as women, be U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents, hold at least an associate’s degree, and have applied to or been accepted into an eligible program at an accredited or licensed institution. Degree programs, post-baccalaureate programs, exam preparation, and prior national AAUW grant recipients are ineligible; applicants must also document gender underrepresentation with credible data.
