About this program
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) offers Career Development Grants of up to $8,000 to support women pursuing accredited, short-term certificate or training programs for entry into, transition to, or advancement within fields where women are underrepresented, including STEM and leadership pathways. Eligible expenses include tuition, fees, required materials, transportation, and dependent care for programs beginning January 1–June 30, 2027. Applicants must identify as women, hold at least an associate’s degree, be U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents, and have applied to or been accepted into an eligible program; executive leadership applicants must be currently employed in their field. Applicants must document women’s underrepresentation using current, reputable data and may not use the grant for degree programs, post-baccalaureate programs, or licensing exams.
