AAUW International Fellowships

About this program

AAUW offers International Fellowships to support women pursuing their first full-time master’s or academic/professional doctoral degree in a STEM discipline, primarily at accredited U.S. institutions, with awards of $20,000 for master’s and $25,000 for doctoral study. Applicants must be women who are non-U.S. citizens and neither U.S. permanent residents nor applicants for permanent residency, and must demonstrate academic excellence, a minimum 3.5/4.0 GPA, admission or enrollment, and commitment to advancing women and girls. Programs must begin by September 15, 2027, and applications are due September 17, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. ET, with recommendations, degree and transcript documentation, English proficiency, and proof of admission required.
