AAUW International Fellowships — Graduate Fellowships for International Women in STEM

About this program

AAUW’s International Fellowships support international women pursuing full-time master’s or doctoral STEM graduate studies in the United States (with a limited number of awards for study in a country other than the applicant’s own), promoting education, equity, and the application of recipients’ expertise and leadership to benefit their home countries or communities. Applicants must be non‑U.S. citizens and non‑permanent residents with a strong academic record and demonstrated commitment to empowering women and girls; eligible programs are those classified as STEM per the DHS STEM Designated Degree Program List. Applications open August 17, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET and close September 17, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET; award notifications are expected March 2027 with stipends disbursed in mid‑2027 and late‑2027/early‑2028.
