Accelerating Research through Collaboration (ARC) Program

About this program

The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center’s Accelerating Research through Collaboration (ARC) program provides approximately $750,000 in capital funding for collaborative translational research that advances life sciences technologies toward commercialization and economic development in Massachusetts. Funds support capital expenses at a Massachusetts nonprofit institution, including equipment, supplies, hardware, software, datasets, and samples, with projects expected to conclude within two to three years.

Eligible teams must include a Massachusetts nonprofit applicant with a faculty principal investigator and at least one Massachusetts life sciences company registered to do business in the state. The company must provide salary support for at least one newly hired postdoctoral scientist throughout the project and document additional cash or in-kind contributions; proposals must demonstrate meaningful collaboration, a commercialization pathway, and plans for broader access to resulting resources and data.
