Advocate of the Year Award

About this program

The American Academy of Dermatology Association (AADA) offers the annual Advocate of the Year Award to recognize outstanding grassroots advocacy and promote sustained engagement in dermatology policy and public health. The award honors an individual advocate and is presented at the Annual Meeting following selection in the fourth quarter. Nominees should demonstrate meaningful advocacy involvement, such as responding to alerts, participating in the Advocacy Key Contacts program, engaging elected officials, supporting legislative policy, or attending AADA advocacy events. Current members of the Grassroots Advocacy Task Force, Congressional Policy Committee, GAHP Council, Board of Directors, Executive Committee, or other groups directly involved in award selection are ineligible; nominations are accepted online from October 13–31.
