American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) presents the annual AIAA Aeroacoustics Award, established in 1973, to recognize an individual's outstanding technical or scientific achievements in reducing aircraft community noise. Selection emphasizes scientific and engineering contributions, relevance and impact (including incorporation into design tools and programs), and service to AIAA and the broader aerospace community; recipients are typically honored at the AIAA AVIATION Forum or the AIAA/CEAS Aeroacoustics Conference. Nominations are submitted online (open 10 July; nomination deadline 1 October) with endorsement letters due by 1 November, and nominees must be individuals with documented, peer-recognized contributions that meet the stated award criteria.
