The American Gastroenterological Association offers the AGA-R. Robert & Sally Funderburg Research Award in Gastric Cancer, providing one established investigator with $50,000 annually for two years ($100,000 total) to pursue novel basic, translational, or clinical research on gastric cancer. Applicants must hold an MD, PhD, or equivalent degree, be independent investigators with at least seven years since clinical training or PhD completion, hold a full-time faculty or equivalent position at a North American institution, and be AGA members. Applications are due September 15, 2026, with funding beginning April 1, 2027.
