About this program
The Minnesota Department of Agriculture offers Sustainable Agriculture Demonstration (AGRI SustAg) Grants to support two- to three-year on-farm research and demonstration projects that advance profitable production, energy efficiency, or environmental benefits. Projects may request up to $50,000 and should generate results applicable beyond the participating farm. Minnesota farmers, farmer organizations, and eligible for-profit companies may apply, provided projects meaningfully involve Minnesota farmers and have potential for broader implementation. Applicants must collaborate with at least one technical cooperator, establish measurable objectives, and conduct outreach such as an on-farm field day or a well-developed public communications plan.
