AGRI Value-Added Grant

About this program

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture’s AGRI Value-Added Grant supports Minnesota businesses that process agricultural products by funding equipment purchases, installations, and facility improvements that increase production capacity, diversify markets, or improve market access. Eligible projects may include processing, packaging, and commercial kitchen infrastructure, including for cultivated or wild-harvested products and aquaculture. Start-ups may apply, but grant funds cannot support inventory, working capital, administrative expenses, production equipment, or costs incurred before a grant contract is fully executed. Applicants must demonstrate cash matching funds equal to 75% of total project costs; Minnesota state funds and in-kind contributions cannot be used as match.
