AKF's Research Collaborative

About this program

The American Kidney Fund’s Research Collaborative supports patient-centered, equitable kidney disease research by offering academic researchers, industry partners, clinicians, and nonprofit leaders access to patient networks, data resources, survey capabilities, scientific expertise, and dissemination infrastructure. Collaborations may include survey development, patient engagement, focus groups, advisory support, policy expertise, and research communications. Applicants should propose research aligned with AKF’s mission, particularly projects addressing underrepresented kidney patient populations and real-world impact. Submissions are accepted annually from February 1–March 31 and August 1–September 30 through AKF’s collaboration inquiry process.
