Alaska Sea Grant Research Request for Proposals

About this program

Alaska Sea Grant, administered by the University of Alaska Fairbanks, supports two-year natural and social science research projects that advance the sustainable use and conservation of Alaska’s coastal and marine resources. Projects must address the environmental and economic viability of coastal communities, align with Alaska Sea Grant strategic focus areas, and include outreach to communities or impacted groups. Proposals are solicited every other fall for projects beginning early in the subsequent even-numbered year, with preference for graduate student involvement, collaboration, partnerships, leveraged resources, and research linked to broader social, cultural, or management issues.
