American Short-Term Research Publication Grants

About this program

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) offers $8,000 Short-Term Research Publication Grants to support women preparing research manuscripts for publication in any field, with encouragement for STEM and gender-related research. Funds may cover drafting, editing, research replication, responding to peer review, and related living expenses during the award term. Applicants must identify as women, hold an eligible doctoral or professional degree, be U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents, and be sole, first, or equivalent-significance authors; tenured professors and previous national AAUW awardees are ineligible. Applications require a manuscript preparation plan, two professional recommendations, proof of degree and official transcripts, and are due September 30, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. ET.
