About this program

The Angelman Syndrome Foundation (ASF) invites scientists, clinicians, academic institutions, and industry teams worldwide to submit innovative research aligned with its 2025 Research Roadmap, including studies on UBE3A biology, therapeutic development, clinical management, and biomarkers. Grants provide up to $100,000 per year for one- or two-year projects, with proposals reviewed annually and funding distributed in January. Applicants must demonstrate scientific merit, feasibility, and potential impact on individuals with Angelman syndrome, and proposals are due September 1. Institutional submissions are required, although postdoctoral researchers may lead projects with an eligible faculty member serving as principal investigator; international collaborations are supported.
