ANMS Bridge Funding Program

About this program

The American Neurogastroenterological and Motility Society (ANMS) will provide up to one $50,000 Bridge Funding Award in 2026 to sustain research programs in neurogastroenterology and GI motility and support efforts to obtain or renew extramural R-level funding. Funds may support research costs, supplies, equipment, and personnel salary, but not principal investigator salary or indirect costs; funds will be available in March 2027. Eligible applicants are ANMS members at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level with at least seven years of post-training experience, a record of successful federal R-level funding, and a recently concluded or soon-ending R-level award with a renewal application submitted. Applicants must provide institutional commitment to at least 20% protected research time and submit applications by October 9, 2026.
