Ann Theodore Foundation Breakthrough Sarcoidosis Initiative

About this program

The Ann Theodore Foundation, in partnership with SPARC, offers the Breakthrough Sarcoidosis Initiative to support foundational biology and translational research on sarcoidosis, with emphasis on innovative, collaborative, and cross-disciplinary approaches. Up to six two-year grants of $575,000 each, including indirect costs, are awarded annually, with possible third-year extensions. Faculty-level researchers at nonprofit research institutions worldwide are eligible, including investigators new to sarcoidosis. Proposals should align with the program’s scientific priorities and may require an optional October letter of intent followed by a full proposal in January.
